Customer's Requirements
Our customer initially selected Rotron due to our capability to pass acceptance testing against the needed parameters as laid out in SKS-3662 for the customer FAI and customer ATP. Rotron’s capability to add additional value to the unit in the form of a check valve help the customer choose Rotron as the manufacturer of these exhaust fans.
After 3 years, the customer approached Rotron once more with concerns about vibration within the assembly, affecting the performance of the fans. Rotron was able to conduct extensive testing for our customer, determining that the mounting of the assembly was causing the failure. Insufficient mounting of the assembly was causing an amplification of forces, affecting the overall performance of the unit.
Rotron's Solution
Rotron’s detailed report was provided to the customer, allowing them to correct the mounting issue of the unit. The follow up support provided by Rotron allowed us to stay on the platform for subsequent years. Rotron has supported the Boeing 777 platform for over 20 years.
